Win the Window

We are very excited about the new MainStreet Newnan "Win the Window" promotion. Here's how it works.

1. Go see the MainStreet Newnan "Win the Window" window. It is located at 30 South Court Square in the old Globe Communications location next door to Scott's Bookstore.
2. See all of the incredible merchandise in the window from Downtown Newnan merchants.
3. Realize that all of these fabulous prizes, around $2000.00 worth of merchandise and gift certificates, could be yours.
4. Pick up an entry form and take it around to all of the merchants participating in the promotion. They will help you fill in the retail value of their item and add their official stamp to your form.
   
5. Drop it in the drop-box next to the window by 5:00 p.m. on July 31st.
6. Win the Window when we draw the winner from the completed forms at Market Day on August 1st.

This is going to be a fun promotion. Think of it as a scavenger hunt around downtown. Check out the Mainstreet Newnan website for more information.

Harry Potter

The new Harry Potter movie, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" is coming out this week. Remember, Costume Shop has all of your Hogwarts needs for the Movie Premier. Look for us at the Midnight showing. (we may not be there, but look for us anyway) 

Cow Appreciation Day

Not to publicize another business or anything, but today is "Cow Appreciation Day" which means that if you dress like a cow and go to any Chick-fil-a you can get free chicken. We are in South Carolina, but we stopped by to see this cow in Columbia and get some free chicken sandwiches. The entire Costume Shop family is wearing Cow Headbands from elope and Cow Noses from Rubies. Naturally we sell these items, as well as a cornucopia of other animal dress-up products year round at the shop. Cow Appreciation Day is every July 10th so come on by and stock up now for next year.

Vacation

We will be Closed from July 8th through July 10th for our annual Vacation. We also call this "Shuttling the kids to and from their respective summer camps mingled with obligatory relative visiting." It's a long name. Vacation is shorter and sounds more relaxing. Please let us know if you need anything while we are gone. We have found some pretty creative ways to help our customers while out of town in the past, and will happily do it for you if we can.

The Fourth of July

We are very excited about the 4th of July for a number of reasons this year.

1st, we have a great number of awesome Patriotic costumes available for purchase and rent for parades, picnics and other independence celebrations.

2nd, the 4th of July is on a Saturday, so we will be on-hand on the Newnan square with a booth at Market Day with Deliscious summer treats and a supply of Patriotic Accessories for …

The Fourth of July Parade, which is the 3rd reason we are excited. The Parade is a Newnan tradition. It is so great to get to see our friends and neighbors marching and riding in this spectacular parade.

And finally, 4th, Fireworks. There will once again be fabulous Fourth of July fireworks at Drake Stadium at Newnan High School.
